Damien Hurrell
FOR BRANCH COUNCIL EXECUTIVE
He/Him
I became a nurse back in 2001 because, like many who choose nursing, I wanted to make a real difference in people’s lives. I’ve mostly worked as an intensive care nurse in regional Bendigo, and I currently work in digital health.
I joined ANMF because I knew the union would always have my back. Inspired by members and leaders who devote themselves to keeping our union strong, responsive and focused on members, I have served ANMF members as a Job Rep since 2004, Branch Councillor since 2021 and on Branch Executive since 2024. I take those responsibilities very seriously, participating actively in campaigns and conferences, holding the powerful to account and speaking fearlessly on behalf of members.
I am proud that our union has made truly extraordinary gains for our members over the years, but I know that challenges remain ahead. We need a strong, united organisation backing us every day.
Every member matters. If I am re-elected, I will continue to be a fearless voice for you, bringing expertise in governance, regional healthcare and digital health to Branch Council. I’m honoured to be part of a team that brings a blend of skills and experience to the task of representing our members, and that’s why I’m asking that you vote for me and every member of the Maddy Harradence Team.
