I currently work as a Clinical Midwife Specialist and Associate Midwife Manager at Box Hill Hospital. I started with the union as a student delegate, became a Job Rep in 2017 and a HSR in 2020. I have served on Branch Council since 2019.

It is so important for our union to be led by strong, inspiring, professional and experienced members, and I feel privileged to have been elected to the Branch Council for the last six years.

I am a single mum of two busy teenagers. I know personally how important it is for nurses, midwives and carers to be fairly compensated, have safe working conditions, and be treated with fairness and respect at work.

Even as a student many years ago, I was always the one putting up their hand, asking questions for others. Advocating for those whose voices are perhaps a little quieter has always been second nature for me.

It has been a natural progression for me to become a Job Rep, an HSR and Branch Councillor. I have always wanted to ensure my colleagues’ voices were heard and were well represented. Voting for the Maddy Harradence Team ensures that you are electing members that have the proven experience, passion, cohesiveness and dedication to represent us all, now and moving forward. Together, we can keep our union strong, united, and focused. There is always more work to do.

Every member matters. If re-elected, I will bring my expertise in midwifery and keep our union focused on supporting nurses, midwives and carers for the benefit of all. That’s why I am asking you to vote for the Maddy Harradence Team.
