Roxane Ingleton
FOR BRANCH COUNCILLOR
She/her
I am an Endorsed Midwife at the Royal Women’s Hospital. As Branch Councillor I will work hard every day for maternity ratios that recognise care of neonates, more Endorsed Midwife roles in public health, social justice advocacy including climate justice and refugee advocacy, and expanded nurse/midwife-led models in women’s health.
I became a midwife in 2014 because I wanted to support women in their birth journeys. I have been a Job Rep since 2015 and a Branch Councillor since 2021. I joined the ANMF because I have a strong sense of social justice, am a political activist and I understand the power of the collective. I became a delegate so I could speak up for others. I understand the issues we face like heavy workload and burnout. I know that through the ANMF we have a strong united voice that we can use to fight back.
Every member matters. I value our union’s rich history and all it has achieved. I respect the work that nurses, midwives and carers do. If re-elected, my extensive experience in midwifery and broader political landscapes will inform my advocacy and that’s why I’m asking you to vote for the Maddy Harradence Team.
